Guest house faces changes

Angel's Grotto Guest House on Harrington Sound Road, Smith's Parish, has applied to the Planning Department to change its use from tourism to residential.
In a letter to the Director of Planning, an agent for the application explained the one-acre lot presently holds nine units.
But the hotel eventually plans to create the maximum of six residential units on the one-acre property.
"The Department of Tourism will be informed when and if this application is approved,'' the letter continued.
Yesterday, a spokeswoman for Angel's Grotto declined to comment.
In other Planning news, the Coral Beach Club on South Road, Paget is seeking approval to convert a cycle shed into a spa.
And the nearby Stonington Beach Hotel has applied to build a self-contained jacuzzi near its pool.
In Devonshire, the Ocean View Golf Club is seeking in principle approval for a new maintenance facility.
