Sunday night is still in a stable condition in hospital.

The crash victim is believed to have lost control of his motorbike while travelling west on Middle Road near Warwick Pond just before 9 p.m.

He was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and placed in the intensive care unit. He was operated on last night and, following the surgery, was described as being in a stable condition.

Although no other vehicles were believed to have been involved in the accident Police are still appealing for any eye witnesses to come forward.
