Accident man loses two of his toes
Somerset Bridge.
Police said Vernon Symonds, 24, lost the toes at the scene of the accident in Sandys Parish shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday.
According to Police, Mr. Symonds and the other motorcyclist, Edison Clarke, 19, were attempting to overtake vehicles travelling in opposite directions when the accident occurred.
Mr. Symonds, of White Hill Lane, Sandys Parish, was discovered unconscious at the scene of the crash.
He also suffered internal injuries and was in a critical, but stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital yesterday.
Mr. Clarke, of Hillview Road, Warwick, suffered abrasions and a possible fracture to his right leg, but was released from hospital following treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident to contact P.c.
