Experts to fly in for reinsurance congress
International Reinsurance Congress to be held in Bermuda between October 20 and 23.
The conference is designed to provide reinsurance professionals, accountants, lawyers, regulators and others with the latest developments in reinsurance.
Overseas speakers will include Mr. John T. Baily, partner and chairman of insurance industry practice, Coopers & Lybrand, Connecticut; Mr. Ian Dilks, partner of Coopers & Lybrand, London; Mr. Steven Gilford, partner of Mayer Brown & Platt in the US; Mr. Philip Singer, partner of Coopers & Lybrand and head of insurance industry insolvency of Cork Gully, London; and Mr. John Hyland, vice president/claims of General Reinsurance.
Local speakers taking part include Registrar of Companies Mr. Malcolm Butterfield, Mr. Roger Gillett, senior vice president, Johnson & Higgins (Bermuda); and Mr. David Lines, partner in Coopers & Lybrand, Bermuda.
