Arts Centre prepares for exhibition
year, and the West End gallery is looking to attract the best of Bermuda's up-and-coming artists.
The show, which is due to run from February 7 until March 21, will focus on the human form.
Entitled "The Nude'', it will include paintings, drawings, sculptures, and photography. All entries will be juried.
"The show is another in our on-going series of theme exhibitions,'' said Exhibition Committee Chairman, Mr. David Mitchell. "We have discovered that artists find it exciting and challenging to work with a definite direction in mind.'' Mr. Mitchell said the Bermuda Arts Centre was hoping local students who are studying art overseas would submit some of their work.
"Some (students) have already expressed interest in the show and we want to encourage them,'' he said. "We are always looking for fresh talent.'' Exhibitors must deliver their work to the Arts Centre's Dockyard gallery on February 2, 3 and 4.
