Mr. Wentz has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation since 1989.

A year earlier, he concluded 21 years of service with the Crum and Forster group of insurance companies as its chairman and CEO.

Prior to ACE's recent public offering, the size of ACE's Board was reduced to 15 members with two seats reserved for individuals not directly affiliated with any policyholder.

Mr. Wentz' election fills the first of those two vacancies.
