Trial put off

and having an offensive weapon in a public place was adjourned at the request of the defence yesterday.

Ellsworth Eugene Wilson, 57, formerly of Mount Hill, Pembroke, denied unlawful wounding and carrying an offensive weapon on October 10, 1999, in Court Street, Pembroke.

Magistrate Ed King expressed frustration at the further delay of a trial which had been due to take place in June.

Defence Lawyer Richard Horseman said he was only holding for Mark Pettingill who is set to take the trial when it starts on October 27.
