Wireless later today to discuss future job cuts at the firm.

The company claims jobs will have to go after it lost about 25 percent of the long distance market to rival firm TeleBermuda International Ltd.

Bermuda Public Services Association general secretary Edward Ball last night confirmed he would be holding talks with company bosses.

"At the moment we don't know how many jobs will be going,'' he said.

"But we understand that general manager Colin Little has been given a mandate to improve efficiency and middle management have been asked to see where they can effect cuts.

"But the company is still making a hefty profit. I don't know what's going to happen but we will be there to make sure there is proper notification and consultation.''
