Ms Alison Carlson has been appointed catering/conventions manager, after returning to Bermuda from the US, where she spent more than six years. During that period, Ms Carlson worked in sales for the Department of Tourism in Boston, Historic Inns of Annapolis and Red Roof Inns.

She said: "I am excited to be home again and equally excited about the challenge of my new job.'' Mr. Helder DeSilva has been promoted to catering service manager, responsible for setting up all banquet functions. Mr. DeSilva spent 14 years in the construction industry and joined Marriott 18 months ago as chief steward.

Mr. Lee Richardson is the assistant manager of the Golf Club Pub and Grill, after 13 years in the hotel industry, including five at Marriott.
