New parents magazine

publications, this time focussing on the trials of parenting. The 64-page magazine Parenting in Bermuda aims to provide information on how to make the job of parenting easier.

Editor-in-Chief Mr. Charles Barclay said the magazine has had a very positive response. A total of 5,000 copies were published and distributed to newsstands, clinics, and the children's departments of some Hamilton retailers. It is free of charge.

"There was a gap in the market, and it is clearly something that people at some time or another are interested in,'' Mr. Barclay said, adding that most US and Canadian cities offer similar type parenting magazines.

The magazine, which features a cover story on multiple births, brings the total number of magazines published by Bermuda Marketing to seven. Others are Bermuda Business, TV Times, TV & Entertainment Guide, Residents Guide, Island Property News, and Homes & Gardens. It also produces The Bermuda Channel.
