Ms Shirley Simons, owner of Flashpoint Photography, said the colour photocopying has proved popular with customers wanting fast reproductions of old photographs.

"The paper is the same weight as photo paper and the photocopy can be done in about a minute and a half,'' she explained. The photocopy also has a glossy finish like a photo, she added.

Ms Simons, who opened Flashpoint Photography in 1986, said she continues to offer other photography services from wedding photos to portfolios. She hopes to expand the business to include use of a still video camera.

The colour photocopying service has been available for about two months but, added Ms Simons, "I only recently started actively promoting the new part of the business.''
