Spate of house raids
The occupant of the home said that he left it secure in the morning, and returned that same evening to find that someone had used force to gain entry to the house. Subsequent checks of the residence, however, did not reveal that anything had been stolen.
A North Shore Road resident reported to Police that his home was broken into sometime on Thursday during his absence.
On his return he discovered that the thief had searched through a bag and took various pieces of computer equipment, including a CD hard drive and several disks. He also discovered that the culprit had ransacked several drawers in the bedroom, removing cash and jewellery.
Several pieces of women's jewellery were also reported stolen from a Park View Lane residence in Devonshire on Thursday. The complainant said that the thief entered sometime during the day, possibly using force, and removed the items from a room inside.
A Cochrane Road, Sandys resident returned from work to find that someone had been inside his home. He said that the home was left secured on Wednesday morning, but that he returned in the afternoon to find signs of a forced entry.
On checking the premises, he realised that the culprit had removed an amount of cash from one of the rooms
