Police saw Reid Robinson, of Ewing Street, travelling north on North Street, near the Transport Control Department on January 20, prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy said. They noticed he was driving awkwardly and pulled him over.

Insp. Peter Duffy said Robinson was shaky on his feet and when asked if he had been drinking, he replied: "I worked hard today, I had a few beers.'' Robinson was taken to Hamilton Police Station and supplied a breath sample.

While there, he was also charged with driving while disqualified, not having third party insurance, not having a vehicle licence, and having a defective horn and defective front brakes.

The Wor. Charles-Etta Simmons fined him $400 and disqualified him for three years because it was Robinson's second drunk driving offence.

She also fined him $500 for driving while disqualified and banned him from driving for two years which are to run concurrently with the other disqualification.

For not having third party insurance, Robinson was fined $300. He was also fined $200 for no vehicle licence and $50 each for no horn or front brakes.
