HAMILTON -- Bank of Bermuda shares have continued to rise, reaching $32.00 yesterday on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

Over 14,742 bank shares traded hands and the price rose by 3.3 percent or $1.00, keeping the stock well away from the $28.00 norm it has been languishing at for months. The rise comes after reports that 60/40 ownership regulations could be relaxed by Government.

This rise pushed the index up further, to 1,479.75, up 12.42 points or 0.85 percent on a volume of 30,261 shares worth $583,252.60.

Other shares traded were Bank of Butterfield which rose 5 cents to $15.25, BELCO holdings which lost $2.00 to close at $17.25 and Argus Insurance which fell 50 cents to its 52 week low of $16.00.
