Help for Bermuda's small businesses

The seminar -- to be held on October 16 at the Bermuda College Lecture Theatre -- is also aimed at helping small business owners develop an effective advertising and promotional campaign.
"Since most small businesses cannot compete with the large corporations and their marketing budgets, there must be a way to level the playing field,'' BSBDC general manager Ms Michelle Khaldun said.
"This seminar, Marketing Strategies for Your Small Business, identifies ideas, methods and techniques that entrepreneurs can use to market their businesses effectively and successfully. And, best of all, every one of these techniques is either a low cost or a no-cost technique.'' The seminar's topics will include the following: How to create a marketing/advertising budget; How to create an advertising blitz for under $1,000; How to produce money-producing prints advertisements; How to use the yellow pages effectively and low cost or no cost highly effective marketing techniques for the Bermuda market.
The seminar is scheduled to be held from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m.
Local marketing and advertising firms RB&K advertising and Tango Multimedia will also be participating.
