Carla Rose Louise Wilkinson, 26, of St. Augustine Lane, Pembroke pleaded guilty to using offensive words, assaulting a Police officer, and violently resisting arrest.

Magistrates' Court heard that uniformed Police officers were involved in another matter on Dundonald Street at 3.30 a.m. on Sunday when Wilkinson approached.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Wilkinson shouted and swore at Police.

When cautioned Wilkinson, continued to swear at Police.

Sgt. Taylor said when officers tried to arrest Wilkinson, she resisted and punched and kicked them.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis fined Wilkinson $100 for each of the three offences.

VISITOR FINED FOR DRUGS CTS Visitor fined for drugs An American chemical company worker was fined $800 yesterday after arriving on the Island with drugs in her underwear.

Melanie Quick, 32, of Wilmington, Delaware pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to possessing cocaine on January 29 at the Bermuda International Airport.

Cigarette papers and 1.8 grams of 77-percent pure cocaine powder was found in the crotch of her underpants which the Dupont Chemical Co. representative claimed was for personal use.

Quick had nothing to say before, Senior Magistrate Will Francis handed down a fine of $700 for possession of cocaine and $100 for the cigarette papers.

MAN HAS SUIT STOLEN CRM Man has suit stolen A man was taken to the cleaners after he left a suit in his car and it was stolen.

Police said the pin-striped suit was left in the car at an undisclosed location on Thursday by the Warwick man who intended to take it to be dry cleaned.
