struck in the head with a masonry tool.

The 42-year-old man was near the Devonshire Recreation Club on Sunday night when he was approached by another man that he recognised.

The attacker, a 33-year-old Pembroke man, threatened the victim before he picked up a masonry tool and struck him with it.

The victim suffered cuts which were treated at the hospital.

Police are investigating.
