Bermuda fund launched

Developed over the past few months, the ICFB, which has already received its first gift, its first membership and its first pledge, has sent letters to nearly 300 local charities in an effort to make its presence known and describe its operational structure.
Any charity that would like more information on the fund or the tax advantages for foreigners should call ICFB president, Mr. Tom Conyers at 295-3399.
*** During the week of August 13 to 19, the First Baptist Church on Middle Road in Devonshire will be hosting a vacation bible school for youths aged four to 17.
All are welcome to attend the school's classes, which will be held from 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

*** Two weeks from today, the guest speaker at the Hamilton Rotary Club's weekly meeting will be exchange student Miss Sara Mancell.
She will address the group in the Princess Hotel at 1.15 p.m.
A week later, on August 22, newly appointed Airport director Mr. Jack Gordon has been scheduled to speak to the club.
His topic will be the status of the Bermuda Airport.
*** The Kiwanis Club of Sandys will be hosting an "Oldie Goldie Record Hop'' on the patio of the West End Sailboat Club next month.
The hop, to be held on September 2, has been scheduled for 8 p.m.
