Sims, 18, easily made the cut of 32 but will not be one of the seeded players when match play begins today at the Walt Disney World Magnolia course.

The Bermuda amateur joined more than 100 other top juniors from around the world in the tournament and shot a 69 in windy conditions on Tuesday to lead by two strokes. Yesterday's top score was 67 on the Palm Course and the overall leader is Michael Meness, with a two-day total of 142.

A win in this morning's match will send Sims into the round of 16 this afternoon. Two more rounds are scheduled for tomorrow with the final on Saturday.
