secretary in his department was arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences.

The woman was apprehended when Police officers swooped on Government Information Services offices at Global House on Church Street at 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officers also took documents from the Development and Opportunity Minister's office. The Minister is in no way connected with the alleged offence.

It is understood officers had had the woman under surveillance before the arrest.

Police confirmed that a 35-year-old Sandys Parish woman was arrested on alleged drugs charges and was being interviewed yesterday.

She was expected to be bailed later, pending a court appearance in the near future.

An investigation is ongoing.
