Eleven trainee officers will march in front of Mr. Colin Coxall and the Hon.

Irving Pearman, to celebrate finishing their Basic Training Course.

There should have been 12 officers parading, but Miss Bean was injured on Tuesday morning when she was involved in a multiple car crash. She had to undergo surgery and will be confined to her hospital bed tomorrow.

A colleague and fellow rookie, Miss Marlo Smith, was also injured in the crash but will be fit to attend the parade.

The ceremony marks the end of the Bermuda Police Service's 50th Basic Training Course.

To mark the occasion, people who passed the first course in the early 1960s have been invited to attend the ceremony, although most have since retired from the Force.

The parade is scheduled to take place at Police Headquarters Square.
