The New Jersey-based company has more than 20,000 money transfer agent locations worldwide and offers an international money transfer service between the United States, Canada, Europe, Central America, the Caribbean and Asia.

It is offering a local money transfer service through financial services firm Telecheck, which is located on Queen Street, Hamilton.

Western Union will pay out all its local money transfers in Bermuda dollars.
