Gary waits on Roy and Dennis
Stevens and Dennis Brown before determining whether to make any inclusions to the squad for the World Cup match with Canada on December.
Darrell denied that fullback Albert Caisey had been brought back into the squad, saying that the injury situation would determine whether any inclusions were made. Caisey has not played for Bermuda in the second round of the World Cup qualifying competition, having regained his place at fullback only to lose it to Voorhees Astwood.
"We'll wait and see what the injury situation is with Roy and Dennis,'' Darrell said last night.
Stevens was injured in the Jamaica match and, along with his Boulevard teammate Neil Robinson, returned to Bermuda for treatment rather than travel to Vancouver, Canada for the match with the Canadians. Brown pulled a groin muscle in the closing minutes of the Canada game.
"I know Roy went in for treatment with Kevin Anderson but I don't know what his and Dennis' status is.'' The team was to train last night at the National Stadium but the session never materialised with only a few of the players showing up. "This is the first time we've got together since we've been home,'' said Darrell.
The squad will train this evening and again on Saturday morning, by which time Darrell says he should know the state of the injuries.
Bermuda are now out of the running for a place in the next round, with Canada needing only a draw in Bermuda to be certain of advancing with El Salvador, who lead the group. El Salvador play Jamaica at home on December 6 in their last match.
