For Mrs. Hollis asked party-goers for donations for the home's special building fund.

And recently Mrs. Hollis presented a $1,100 cheque to Mrs. Helena Brice, matron of the home.

"I would like to thank everyone who made donations. They were absolutely marvellous,'' said Mrs. Hollis, of Mount Hill, Pembroke.

Mrs. Brice, too, was also full of praise for the money-raising effort.

She explained the cash would help build a new kitchen for the home.
