A Long Island resident was found to be burning tree cuttings when Marine Police arrived at 6.15 p.m.

Residents of the islands of the Great Sound are asked to contact the Police, the Fire Service or Bermuda Harbour Radio prior to burning materials, particularly at night, to avoid unnecessarily drawing Marine Police to the scene.
