Bermuda Aviation Services and Aircraft Services Bermuda are this week expected to announce the retirement of Mr. Donald Hunter, who has served as President
Mr. Hunter has largely been credited with helping turning the fortunes of the company around in recent years, taking it from a loss-making entity to a stream-lined firm that is looking to the future.
But when contacted yesterday, Mr. Hunter would only say that any success he has had on the company's behalf was due to the hard-working nature of the staff at the two companies.
The American who is to retire to Georgia next month, said that he has seen the growth of accountability and responsibility in the employees of the company.
And without their help, he said, the company would not have been able to achieve the new direction that it has taken.
Bermudian, Mr. E. Eugene Bean is set to take over the helm of the private companies that provide aircraft and other aviation services to the Island's only Airport, including service to the air terminal itself, aircraft catering and ramp and cargo services.
