Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The man was a passenger in a Ford Laser car which collided with a wall at Collectors Hill in Smith's Parish around 1.30 a.m. yesterday.

Police said the car was travelling east on South Shore Road. While making a left turn on to Collectors Hill the driver, a 23-year-old Sandys Parish man, apparently lost control and collided with a wall on the opposite side of the road.

The St. George's man received head injuries and was last night listed in stable condition while the car driver escaped with bruises and abrasions.

The car was extensively damaged.

Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to cut the car open and rescue the seriously injured man.
