The officer, whom The Royal Gazette understands to be female, was arrested as part of an operation involving Bermuda Police, Customs, the US Customs and US Drug Enforcement Administration investigators.

A Customs spokesperson said no further details of the operation, which is continuing, will be available until the investigation has been completed.
