Bank of Bermuda closed at $18 on volume of 901, Bermuda Home at $8 on volume of 182 and Staples at $9.25 on 1,100 volume.

On June 28, Belco intends to redeem all outstanding 7 percent convertible notes due June 1, 1997.

The notes will be redeemed at a price equal to $102 per note with interest. In connection with the redemption, the exchange has approved delisting of the notes at the end of trading June 21.

Up to June 27, noteholders are entitled to convert their notes into fully paid common shares.
