of the week. Beginning today, the school will hold an official opening ceremony.
Premier Pamela Gordon, who returned last night from the UK, will do the honours at 3 p.m. Education Minister Jerome Dill and chairman of the school's board of governors Garry Madeiros will also be among the invited guests. A tour of the state-of-the-art facility and a reception will follow the ceremony. The public will have the chance to tour the school at Prospect during its first open house this weekend.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, a variety of activities will take place, including performances by the school's choir, band, dance and drama groups. There will also be a physical education display in the gymnasium and displays of students' work in the classrooms.
