Premier Gordon made the comment during an interview with Bloomberg News in New York. She was accompanied by James Moore of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, the company the government has hired to market the Island overseas.

During Ms Gordon's visit to the Bloomberg headquarters on Park Avenue in Manhattan she met with Michael Bloomberg, the principal owner of the company.

He discussed the possibility of buying property in Bermuda. Ms Gordon encouraged him to do so, according to Bloomberg reporter David Zielenziger.

Mr. Mulderig recently sold 190,000 Mutual Risk common shares and then purchased $15.35 million of the company's zero coupon convertible subordinated debentures due in 2015. The debentures are convertible into 165,161 common shares.

As a result, Mr. Mulderig has lowered his stake in the company by about 25,000 common shares. A spokesperson said Mr. Mulderig now has a 2.4 percent stake in the company, worth about $21.8 million.
