The bridge will open every 15 minutes from 7.30 a.m. until 6.45 p.m. on August 1 and 2.

It was also announced that the Swing Bridge will close for repairs on Monday, Augst 5.

The news came as the new summer and winter opening hours for the Longbird Bridge and the Swing Bridge were announced.

Summer hours -- from April 1 to September 30 -- for Longbird Bridge means the bridge will open on the hour between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and on the hour from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

During winter -- October 1 to March 1 -- the same hours will be kept but the last opening will be one hour earlier at 5 p.m.

The first opening of the Swing Bridge will take place at 7.30 a.m. in summer.

It will open again at 8.30 a.m. then 15 minutes later and every half hour thereafter, with the last opening at 6.45 p.m.

The Swing Bridge's winter hours will be same as summer, but the last opening will be two hours earlier -- 4.45 p.m.
