Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

In separate cases in Magistrates' Court, 20-year-old Vaughn Damion Archibald, of Albert Road Ireland Island, pleaded guilty to missing 14 Regiment sessions and 22-year-old Ronald O'Neil Beech, of Cottage Hill, Bailey's Bay, pleaded guilty to missing 24 sessions.

They also failed to complete four days of extra duties assigned to them as a punishment for missing so many sessions.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis told the soldiers the maximum penalty for such offences was $2,250 in fines and/or three months in jail.

Archibald claimed he missed the practice sessions because he had to work in order to help pay his mother's bills.

Upon hearing this, Mr. Francis ordered a social inquiry report on him and released Archibald on $500 bail with a surety.

Archibald will return to court on August 21 for sentencing.

Beech will also be sentenced on August 21.
