that she failed to ensure her two children attended school.

Magistrate Edward King issued a warrant for the arrest of mother Vanessa Simmons after she failed to appear in Magistrates Court because she was sick.

Her solicitor Sonia Grant handed Mr. King a doctor's note and asked for another court date to be set in the future, although she said she had no idea when Ms. Simmons would be fit again.

Ms Simmons, of Kitchener Close, Sandys, was due in court Tuesday morning charged with failing to ensure her son and daughter attended school regularly between September 30 last year and February 29 this year.

But Mr. King said: "She has to come to court.

"There are no two ways about it. She can come in a wheelchair, if she likes.

She can come and lie on the gurney if she wishes. But she must come to court.
