Hatherley, of Riviera Crescent, Southampton, was "placed back into custody'' around 12.30 a.m. yesterday, a Police spokesman said.
He gave a Policeman the slip in Magistrates' Court on Tuesday after Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered him to serve time in prison for non-payment of $1,100 in fines dating back to December 1997.
Hatherley also accrued another $1,100 in fines on Tuesday.
