long service to the company. Mr. Robert C. Hug , president and managing director of Sedgwick James (Bermuda) Ltd., has been with the company for 10 years. He is also chairman of Sedgwick group's global Captive Management Common Interest Group.

Mr. Hug joined Crump Companies, which merged with Sedgwick James in 1986, in 1982 as corporate vice president and regional director. Just prior to his appointment in Bermuda in 1990, Mr. Hug served as senior vice president and director of risk services of Sedgwick James Inc.

Mr. Hug now serves as a member of the executive committee of the Bermuda Insurance Marketing Association and the International Companies Division of the Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Andrew Sargeant , vice president of Sedgwick James (Bermuda) Ltd. has also been with the company for 10 years. He is currently responsible for captive management. Mr. Sargeant joined the company in March 1982 as a senior account executive.

Mr. Alan G. McKean , senior account executive, has been with the company for five years. Mr. McKean joined the company in 1987 after having worked in Bermuda for Ernst & Young.

***** Mr. John Wight has been appointed as the group controller for the BF&M Group of Companies. He joined the company on March 2, after working as controller for Bermuda Hospitals Board for the past three years. Mr. Wight is a qualified chartered accountant.

Also at BF&M, Mrs. Alison DeSilva has been named employee of the quarter. The award recognises outstanding employees who embody the Group's Corporate Mission Statement. Mrs. DeSilva has been the switchboard operator for 13 years.
