Teachers had their hands full shuffling children and moving furniture as water came down from various points on the ceiling.

A St. Mark's Pre-School spokesperson said: "We had a flood in the hall which houses the pre-school. A lot of water was coming down but the carpet soaked up quite a bit.

"We were having to move things around and trying to get trash bins and buckets to catch the water.

Several men were working on the roof prior to yesterday's rain and were baffled when water started seeping into the pre-school area.

Classes continued in another part of the school.

"It could have be a clogged drain -- they're not exactly sure,'' she said.

Nothing was damaged during the flooding, said the spokesperson.
