the Bermuda Junior Service League.

"We are committed to the Bermuda Broadcasting Ltd. in helping to save Sesame Street,'' a league spokesman said.

The league will be holding a Sesame Street raffle, and is appealing for public support.

The draw will take place at the group's annual Consignment Sale in March.

The spokesman said Sesame Street had proved to be an "enriching and educational'' experience for young people.

And he applauded the programme's focus on racial harmony.

"We feel that this is a vital issue in Bermuda today and hope that children, as well as their parents, learn through these entertaining broadcasts that such important values begin in the home at a very early age.''
