Quinton George Ible was first quizzed by Police nearly five months ago in connection with the death of Humberto Pineda.

He was charged by Senior Magistrate Will Francis yesterday, following an investigation by Traffic Police.

Ible, 49, of Sandys Parish, was unhurt when his van collided with Mr. Pineda's bike on South Shore Road, Southampton, just after 11 p.m. on September 18. But 33-year-old Mr. Pineda, of Middle Road in Devonshire, was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

Ible, represented by Ed Bailey, is accused of driving while impaired and drink-driving as well as causing death by dangerous driving.

He was remanded on $500 bail with like surety.
