The bank -- which this week announced it was spinning off its deposit company and property operations in a merger with L.P. Gutteridge's finance and realty arm -- saw its shares close at $22.875 on volume of 218,872 shares.
Analysts said the trade, worth $5,006,697, could have been part of the deal for Bermuda Home.
Bank of Bermuda 9% notes also moved, closing up 25 cents at $107.50 on volume of 520 units. BF&M was unchanged at $6.50 on volume of 1920 shares.
The trading in the bank's helped move the Exchange Index up 8.03 points to 1174.82, its highest point since last November.
