During the Senate debate yesterday the Minister without Portfolio gave an intimation that he may be resigning his position as general secretary of the organisation.

Later after the session finished, he refused to elaborate.

Earlier, Mr. Scott said there would not be any conflict of interest between his role with the union and his Governmental position, since he was unlikely to have a role as Education Minister.

Last night Bermuda Union of Teachers President Michael Charles could not be contacted for comment.
