Memorial Hospital last night after a motorcycle was in collision with a Police car.

The accident happened shortly after 4 a.m. yesterday on Middle Road in Paget, on the bend outside St. Paul's Church, Police said.

The Warwick man, who is in intensive care with serious head injuries, was a passenger on the cycle.

The driver, a 20-year-old Devonshire man, was also taken to hospital, with a broken leg.

The cycle was travelling west, while the Police car was moving in the opposite direction in the eastbound lane. The officer was not pursuing a suspect or responding to a call, a spokesman said.

An off-duty officer, P.c. John Fryer, arrived on the scene shortly after the accident and gave medical assistance to the two men before an ambulance arrived. Police declined a request to speak to P.c. Fryer.
