Terceira to buy Warwick Shell Station
Station in Warwick.
The South Shore Road station is currently owned by investment company Related Crismark.
The company has earmarked the land for a hotel, and if the sale goes through Mr. Terceira plans to resite the station.
Yesterday Mr. Terceira said he believed negotiations to buy the station were nearly finished.
If a deal was clinched, the station would be resited further east.
"Related Crismark want it moved so the new hotel's front entrance can be where the existing gas station is,'' explained Mr. Terceira.
At one stage it was proposed to build the Ritz Carlton there, but the venture collapsed.
Mr. Terceira added once the sale went through the next stage would be to get planning permission from the Development Applications Board to relocate the station.
