Bermuda Stock Exchange Index past the 1100 barrier for the first time since late October.

The Index closed up 12.19 points or 1.12 percent to close at 1,104.85 in moderate trading yesterday.

Bank of Butterfield continued its rally to close up 50 cents to $13 on volume of 7,531 shares while Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 12.5 cents to hit $11.625 on volume of 359.

Bank of Bermuda closed unchanged at $19.625 on volume of 2,563.

Share volume for the day was 10,453 with a share value of $150,392.
