Devonshire grocery store on Tuesday night remained on the loose yesterday.

The Police reported yesterday that a man wearing a mask and brandishing a knife entered Belvin's Grocery at 9.45 p.m. and demanded money from the store's owner William Pearman.

Mr. Pearman handed over approximately $100 in mixed notes and the man escaped.

When contacted yesterday, Mr. Pearman said he was fine after the incident which is the latest in a series of robberies against his store.

He noted that the premises had security with cameras and an alarm system but was still susceptible to robberies because of its location.

The Devonshire property sits on a junction criss-crossed by Middle Road, Vesey Street and Loyal Hill, each of which offer convenient escape routes for would-be thieves.

Tuesday night's robber is described as being of a slim build, five-feet seven-inches tall and wearing a dark hooded top. He spoke with a Bermudian accent.

Central CID were investigating the incident yesterday.
