Two face drugs charges

Nathan Richardson, 23, of No. 1 Table Rock Avenue, Pembroke and also of 3520 Indian Creek Way, Georgia, who was not represented, was charged with importing and possessing 43.9 grams of cannabis resin with a street value of $2,220, 78.3 grams of cocaine worth $18,625, and 77 grams of diamorphine (heroin) worth $313,000.

And Lamon Simons, 25, of No. 24 Northcote Avenue, represented by Marc Telemaque, was accused of importing and possessing 52.2 grams of cannabis with a street value of $2,500, 82.2 grams of cocaine valued at $23,750, and 75 grams of diamorphine with a street value of $325,000.

The two men were charged separately.

Crown counsel Larry Mussenden did not object to bail which was set by Acting Senior Magistrate Edward King at $5,000 with a like surety for each men.

The pair must also report to the Hamilton Police Station on Mondays and Fridays.

They are scheduled to return to court on September 1 for mention.
