Boat capsized, couple rescued

The yacht Lady Tamara came to the rescue of the 16-foot multi-hulled hobie cat sailing boat, which had capsized in the Great Sound, about a quarter of a mile inside Watford Bridge, Harbour Radio reported.

Mr. Nigel Prescott, the captain of Lady Tamara called for more help shortly before 8 p.m. and was assisted by someone from Dockyard Marina aboard a launch from the just-arrived US Coast Guard cutter Campbell .
Two men also swam out to assist the craft, which the man and woman aboard initially did not wish to abandon. The name of the capsized boat was not available.
By 9 p.m., the pair was helped back to Cavello Bay and the hobie cat was recovered, the Harbour Radio spokesman said.
