The unnamed officer was suspended on full pay on February 14 when he was picked up at White Hill Field.

A Police spokesman said yesterday: "Police have completed their criminal investigation into the officer and the file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

"The internal investigation is nearing completion and an internal disciplinary hearing, chaired by a senior officer, will be held shortly. The senior officer has not yet been named.''
