Descendant of former Governor ties the knot
wedding this week -- by 370 odd years.
But the American spared a thought for Capt. Henry Woodhouse, Bermuda's Governor in the 1620s.
And no doubt, had he been present, the old man would have approved of a splash of ceremony.
Said Mr. Dartt: "I have been very much aware that I was related to a former Governor here.'' Tuesday's Bermudian-style wedding took place on the shore at Cambridge Beaches. Among the guests were 35-year-old Mr. Dartt's parents, Mr. Dartt Sr.
and his wife, Lyn.
They saw their son tie the knot with 28-year-old Miss Diana Faison Bradley.
The couple from Georgia are also spending their honeymoon here, leaving Bermuda this weekend.
The link with the past comes through Mr. Dartt's father.
For the record, Capt. Woodhouse is Mr. Dartt's great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather.
TYING THE KNOT -- And also tied to the past. That's Mr. William Dartt, relative of a 17th Century Bermuda Governor. With him is bride Miss Diana Faison Bradley.
