Youth set to have a blast!

deliver a powerful message of hope during tonight's K.N.U. (Kingdom Nation Uniting a Generation) Bermuda Blast.

K.N.U. Blasts are the central component of a strategic outreach campaign designed to provide a support mechanism for youth and young adults which addresses their spiritual, physical and emotional well-being.

The Blast will take place tonight at Lords Cricket Field in St. David's, starting at 5.30 p.m. and will be hosted by Gen X Interdenominational Alliance and will feature performances by the Fragrance Covenant Praise Hip Hop Dancers, World Troop Steppers and the rappers known as Chronos.

Often characterised as defiant, disinterested, and unmotivated, McClendon sees today's youth, infamously known as Generation X, as an untapped source of passion and blessing.

McClendon declares, "If we will adjust our thinking to understand that there is blessing upon this generation rather than a curse, we will find that there is a seed of deliverance in our midst that God is going to use to shake the world.'' The host and sponsors of the event are St. Luke's AME Church, pastored by Charles A. Smith and Richard Allen AME Church, pastored by the Reverend Dr.

Wilbur M. Lowe Jr. who is also a member of parliament representing St. Georges South and the coalition of ministerial leaders known as the Gen X Interdenominational Alliance.

The event co-ordinator is Roseann Pitcher who is the young people's department director at St. Luke's.

The K.N.U. Bermuda Blast is free and open to the general public. Call 297-1564 for more information.
